dinner with a group
Rather short notice! I assume you%26#39;ll be in the downtown area? You might contact the Old Spaghetti Factory.

dinner with a group
Someone on TA recommended it to me, so I took a group to the Milano Inn and enjoyed it.

';The family-owned Milano Inn has been serving delicious Italian specialties to metropolitan Indianapolis since 1934. The Milano has a great history, and many local families consider a special gathering there a tradition.';
40+ cheerleaders and family members? Holy cow.
The above recommendations are good ones (the Milano Inn is a non-chain restaurant, and a long-time fixture in Indy).
Buca di Beppo (national chain - Italian ';family style';) is used to handling very large parties and is just two blocks away from the Convention Center.
Another idea that you may find to be a fun option would be to head to the Fountain Square district (about 3 miles southeast of downtown) for some duckpin bowling and a meal at a nearby restaurant. I%26#39;d recommend Santorini%26#39;s Greek Kitchen, but there is also a relatively new Shelbi Street Bistro right in the building housing the duckpin bowling lanes. There are actually TWO duckpin bowling alleys in the building: Atomic and Action Bowl. Atomic is upstairs, and is a classic old alley with a nice view of downtown Indy; Action Bowl is in the basement, and has a 50%26#39;s music/diner theme. Neither are pristine facilities - if the group would cringe at getting their hands a little dirty, these places aren%26#39;t for them. And reservations are suggested. Duckpin bowling, if you%26#39;re not familiar with it, is similar to regular bowling, save for it uses small pins and a very small ball - which tends to equalize the ages and sexes ability to compete. Most folks have a blast at these places.
Regardless, welcome to the city and good luck!
