Cheap nice motel...

Just need an economical choice for one night in Lafayette or close by...can any one tell me which hotel in Lafayette would be the best choice ?

I don%26#39;t know exactly when you%26#39;re arriving, but we have always had good luck staying at the Purdue Memorial Union hotel on the University campus. It isn%26#39;t that cheap, but if you%26#39;re doing anything on campus, it is nice, and comfortable and clean, with good access to inexpensive restaurants and coffee houses. I think it runs ~ 80 per night on regular nights (probably more on game weekends or graduation).

I recommend avoiding the Holiday Inn downtown. It was very expensive (~$150/night), with an odd layout and really uncomfortable beds. Our room was also not very clean.
