Wedding night

I am getting married on December 28 and we are leaving for Florida the next day but we were hoping to find a hotel near the Indy airport for our wedding night, that way we can up the next day and take a shuttle to the airport and be on our way. Does anyone have suggestions of a romantic hotel near the airport?

I don%26#39;t know how romantic the standard rooms are, but the Adam%26#39;s Mark is fairly nice. I don%26#39;t see any suites available for that night, but you might call the hotel directly %26amp; check it out. They have park %26amp; fly specials that include a shuttle ride to the airport. Congratulations in advance!

Hi xraygina,

We stay at the Comfort Inn on I-465 and Rockville Road. They do have suites available on 12/28. The shuttle is great and runs 24/7. It was raining the last time we came back and the driver took us stright to our car instead of dropping us off at the hotel. You have to call the hotel direct for park and fly reservations:(317) 487-9800.

Congratulations and enjoy your honemoon!

The Conrad Indianapolis would be a great place to stay for your wedding night. It is a beautiful hotel right in downtown Indy. They also have a car service that can bring you to the airport (which is about a 5 to 10 minute drive at the most from there).

I agree that you should consider a hotel downtown. It isn%26#39;t that far from the airport, and you can take advantage of the beautiful atmosphere, esp. since the holiday decorations will still be up. The Conrad is very nice, as is the Canterbury Hotel, and several others.

If you go to www.indy.org, you can search by type of hotel and location. If the hotel doesn%26#39;t have a car for the airport, you can always get a cab.

I hope this helps!

We just got married in May 2007. We,too, left for our honeymoon early the next morning. We stayed at the Radisson near the airport. We got a nice suite. It certainly was not as elegant as the Conrad or other downtown hotels, but it was nice and less expensive. When paying for a wedding and honeymoon I know cost is usually an issue. Honestly, we were so exhausted the night of our wedding that I am not sure it would have been worth the cost to pay for a very expensive room/suite. And we were just across the street from the airport so we got to sleep in a bit the next morning. Considering our plane left around 7a.m. that was nice. The hotel provided a shuttle directly to the airport that took about 5 minutes, if that. One idea is to select a less expensive (than the downtown hotels) hotel near the airport and have someone decorate it with rose petals and candles before you arrive so it is more romantic. That way you meet the need of romance and location as well as cost. Good Luck! I know wedding plan can be challenging. I hope it is everything you dreamed it would be.

Interesting (to me at least). We were married almost 27 years ago and spent our first night at the Adam%26#39;s Mark at the airport.

It was nice enough then, although nothing terribly out of the ordinary. It%26#39;s very much in need of radical refurbishing now. There are no hotels near the airport that are anywhere near elegant.

I%26#39;ll second the Conrad - and there are other very nice hotels downtown for a little to a lot less - but that%26#39;s probably the best. Among the others: the Canterbury, the Omni, the Westin, and plenty of others.

Best of luck %26amp; congratulations!

Happy Wedding Day!

May you have a blessed life together!
