Can anyone suggest lodging for 3 50something women wanting to spend a few days relaxing in Nashville, Indiana. We would like something where we could all stay in one room, possibly with a sitting area to visit. Also, what types of shops are in Nashville? Are they more art and antiques or more craft/flea market types?
Girlfriend's GetawayI would highly recommend The Cornerstone Inn in downtown Nashville!! It is the most relaxing place and is a favorite get-away. You can park your car and never drive the rest of the time if you do not want. Each room is furnished with beautiful antiques and the rooms are very sound proof and quiet. There is a Gathering Room in the basement where a full breakfast is served each morning and what a treat it is!!! Always two hot dishes, three homemade bakery items, cereal, muffins, fresh fruit, juices, coffee, teas and more. There is a snack that is put out each afternoon, and a wonderful dessert in the evening. On the second floor is a covered porch with rockers where you can sit and watch out over the town. There are all kinds of shops in Nashville. Most are very quaint with some local artisan. Some of our favorites are the Trilogy Gallery, Quintesence, Lawrence Family Glass Blowers, The Bartley House, but there are many others. It is a charming town where you can browse up and down the streets taking your time as you go. There are restaurants right in town that you can walk to as well. The Cornerstone Inn has a website that shows all of the rooms. We started going their 16 years ago for our anniversary and have been going every year since. We see some of the same people each year. I bet if you go there once it will become an annual event for you!!
Girlfriend's GetawayMy friends are planning on going this fall as well and we are looking for a cabin of some sort if any one has any info please let me know! we are looking for one with a hot tub and possibly a pool table! thanks!
My girlfriends and I have been going to Nashville every fall for the past 20 years. Great week away from responsibility!!! We usually rent from Hill%26#39;s O%26#39; Brown vacation homes and also have rented from McGinley vacation cabins amny times. They do not keep up the rentals as well as Hill%26#39;s O%26#39; Brown and Hill%26#39;s has LOTS of rentals from small and not too expensive to large and expensive. The one thing you will find is that everyone charges for anything over 2 people per cabin. October is VERY crowded even during the week, but weekends it%26#39;s hip to hip!!! Hotel Nashville is also a good place to stay in town if you want. Most are 2 room suites with 2 baths snd full kitchen, you just have to make sure you ask for the kitchen package when you make reservations. They have jacuzzi suites also, swimming pool and restaurant and all rooms have balconies.
The shops change every few years, sometimes there are more crafts and other times more are and antiques. There is also a really nice stained glass shop. There are more antique shops in Morgantown, rt. 135 north out of Nashville, about 15-20 minutes away.
For a wonderful luxury log cabin vacation try Adventurewood Log Cabin just a few miles out of Nashville at www.adventurewoodlogcabin.com It is perfect for family or friends getaways. It%26#39;s a brand new privately owned luxury log cabin and sets on 7 private acres with 3 bdrms, private Hot tub on screened porch, pool table, huge stone wood burning fireplace in great room. The Master Suite is gorgeous with a private balcony and it%26#39;s own see-thru fireplace to enjoy while in bed or in the romantic 2 person Jacuzzi. It%26#39;s really popular for the ';girl%26#39;s getaways'; and anniversarys.
