Desperately looking for a nice restaurant in Carmel :)

My husband and I will be in Carmel next weekend and we are looking for a nice restaurant there, not necessarily fancy, but nice food, nice ambiance, that type of things... It can be in Carmel or its surrounding, like Fishers, etc. (Not Indy though!).

THANK YOU!!! :D

Next time I%26#39;m in Carmel, I%26#39;m going to try Ye Olde Library Restaurant. It%26#39;s in a converted Carnegie Library, and it%26#39;s gotten some great reviews on other sites. I%26#39;ve also heard really good things about Peterson%26#39;s in Fishers.

You might enjoy the Artist%26#39;s Vineyard and Matteo%26#39;s Italian Restaurant, both in Noblesville.

I%26#39;m not sure how far you%26#39;re willing to drive or why you don%26#39;t want to go to Indy, but if you%26#39;re willing to drive to the art museum in northern Indianapolis, their restaurant, Puck%26#39;s, is great! The art museum is also free now, as are the Lilly Gardens surrounding it. I go there as often as I can!

The Jazz Kitchen is a lot of fun, but it might be farther south than you want to go.

The best restaurant in Carmel is the Glass Chimney, serving traditional meals in wood panelled splendor. The cozy lobby always a roaring fire in Winter. The town owners are both from Europe, Dieter from Hungrary and Gabe from Vienna and it is if you are back in the Austro-Hungarian empire. They have the best wines, service and traditional favorites of jagerschnitzel, winerschnitzel as well as wonderful fish and other local specialities.

Deserts are traditional and there is a huge selection.

One might also want to try the monthly bar special. The bar, first of all, also looks as it has been moved from old Europe without any changes. One can get for about 12 dollars a smaller sandwich or specialty along with the monthly featured wine or beer. It is very popular with locals.

If you like a bit less formality but the same wonderful food, go next door to Dieter%26#39;s which is casual. The same kitchen serves both the restaurants but Dieter%26#39;s is a noiser less formal atmosphere.

less formal restaurant.

This restaurant is as good as anything in any world capital anywhere.
