Some Friends and I are planning on going camping in the spring, but we are unsure of the best parks for Spring time because we usually camp in the Fall.
I%26#39;d like to go somewhere with beautiful and Very Rugged trails. I will consider going to Turkey Run and Shades because I know they have nice rugged trails, but we%26#39;ve already been there several times.
Does anyone know of any hidden Indiana gems that will have beautiful spring flowers, blooming trees AND rugged trails?
Best Indiana State park for Spring Camping
check out mccormicks creek near spencer. nice hiking.
Best Indiana State park for Spring CampingI can second the recommendation for McCormick%26#39;s Creek SP. The creek valley there has one of the best displays of wildflowers in the state. Also look at Spring Mill State Park...old growth woods, caves, pioneer village %26amp; plenty of trails.
Mccormicks creek is a great place to go. It is my first pick then Turkey Run
