what to do Oct 29-31 2007- This week
Great starting point:
http://www.indy.org/
Here are two of my favorite things:
Art Museum, Gardens and Lilly House (Closed Mondays)
http://www.ima-art.org/
The art museum also has Puck%26#39;s Restaurant which is very nice place to go. It%26#39;s only open for lunch on Tuesday and is closed on Monday. http://www.ima-art.org/connect/pucksmenu
White River State Park
http://www.in.gov/whiteriver/index.html
A great view of downtown, several interesting museums, a canal walk, the zoo, White River Gardens--all in one place. The gift shops at the museums also have unique items. (Some attractions are closed on Mondays.)
If I think of other things, I%26#39;ll let you know.

Great place for breakfast or lunch:
It was featured in Gourmet Magazine, I believe.

The restaurant at the Canterbury Hotel is a AAA four diamond restaurant. It%26#39;s perfect if you%26#39;re looking for a formal, romantic atmosphere downtown.

This is a fun place that is a bit north of downtown in the Broad Ripple area.

';8 before 8 鈥?Monday%26#39;s
The Jazz Kitchen announces a new line-up of hip, tasty dinner specials priced at only $8 when you dine before 8p, every Monday night. Relax and unwind from a hectic day with The Jazz Kitchen鈥檚 8 before 8 dinner specials and choose from specials like fresh dinner salads, bistro specialties or a juicy burger with a compliment of crispy fries. The Kitchen鈥檚 regular menu of American Fusion Cuisine features something for everyone.';
You can also search for ';restaurants'; in the forum search box. I know that others had great suggestions in previous threads.
Have a great visit!
Lily
German Restaurant

I don%26#39;t see an event listed at the Rathskeller for Monday.
Indiana%26#39;s Oldest Bar est. 1850. Live Blues 7 nights a week.

Probably the most famousIndy restaurant is St. Elmo%26#39;s.(steakhouse). What would be your idea of fun? Musems? Shopping? Sports? etc?
Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum is open every day but Christmas. 9-5pm
www.indianapolismotorspeedway.com/museum/
To expand on my earlier post, for $3 you can do a lap around the Speedway!
There%26#39;s ice skating year-round at the Indiana/World Skating Academy.

I know you%26#39;re looking for ideas for Monday night, but so far I haven%26#39;t found a lot of other ideas for evening entertainment. Do you have a preference for type of activity?
I%26#39;ve listed the links for St Elmo%26#39;s, the restaurant at The Canterbury as well as Palamino, Oceanaire Seafood Room, Dunaway%26#39;s and Morton%26#39;s Steakhouse all of which are in downtown indianapolis.
Another favorite of mine which is on Massachusettes Avenue and close to downtown is Asiago, it%26#39;s excellent as well.
