Visiting - advice needed

Hi all.

We are visiting South Bend in January as part of a larger trip. We are keen to visit the ND campus and College Football HOF. We are only in town for 1 night and want a nice close location (we won%26#39;t have a car), but one that is pretty reasonably priced.

Any areas of town we should avoid? There are 3 of us, all 20something Males.

Looking for a good bar/restaurant for our night in town with probably a football/campus feel to it.

Any suggestion appreciated.

If you want to be close to the HOF without a car you might need to stay downtown at the full-service Marriott or the Holiday Inn. The campus is about a five mile trip north of the HOF and downtown.

I agree with the Marriot downtown especially if you don%26#39;t have a car but you%26#39;d have to take a taxi to the ND campus. There is a hotel right on campus called the Morris Inn. Legends is a sports bar right at the campus as well that has reasonably priced food and a good atmosphere.

Hi!

I have a question about the Morris Inn. We are visiting next month for an early-admit student open house, and have booked a room there. We will not have a car-and not knowing anything about campus yet, can anyone tell me if it is an easy walk to the Main building from the Inn?

Thanks in advance!

If you are talking about the Administration Building then, yes, it is a short walk from the Morris Inn.
