Hi,
I am planning to go camping in Brown county state park between 11-13 Oct. Would I be able to see the Fall colors?
Also would it be cold for camping at that time?
Thanks for your advice in advance.
Brown County fall colors
The timing for the leaves is usually a bit different every year, but that is usually one of the best times to see beautiful fall colors.
Usually by October it does get pretty chilly at night, plus there tends to be a chilly dew on things so be sure that you pack a nice warm sleeping bag, sweatshirts, a warm jacket, etc. During the day it can still be pretty warm but almost definitely not hot. It just depends. Layers help because you%26#39;ll get hotter as you hike.
Are you from Lafayette, Indiana or Lafayette, LA? If you%26#39;re from Louisiana, what%26#39;s chilly to me, might feel cold to you, so just bring more layers.
I%26#39;ve camped quite a few times in October and I really like it. The crispness and beautiful colors are hard to beat!

I just moved into Lafayette, IN. Thanks for your advice. I will definitely visit it then but give a thought to the camping plan..
