My friends son plays for the Colts, usually meet him in Texas, Calif or other cities. Comming to Indy this year and would appreciated any hotel info. Dont think I can afford downtown although that would be nice. Other posts have warned about parking issues game day thus I wanted to stay close as possible.

If you don%26#39;t rent a car (there%26#39;s loads to do in the downtown area)you would save on that and the expense of parking so you might be able to afford staying downtown. Parking for games in Indianapolis is no different than in other cities, get there early and you%26#39;ll have more options on where to park, however like in other cities, the closer you get to the stadium the more expensive it is going to be to park. If you go early then there shouldn%26#39;t be any major problems for you.

honestly only some high end hotels will be out of your price range. There are many affordable hotels downtown. Which is where you should stay. Everything is within walking distance. Restaurants, the stadium, and shopping. Check out indy.com for some more information on hotels and the downtown area. Good Luck!
The Stadium is easily reached from a few hotels on the westside. By the airport there is an Adam%26#39;s mark. At I 465 and Rockville Rooad there is a Wingate Inn, Best Western and one other. It%26#39;s an easy/quick drive downntown. Parking is free on the streets. I lke to park on NewYork or Ohio Street just north of the state capitol building, but would plan on getting there about three hours before game time. It%26#39;s probably about a half mile walk but on a nice day it%26#39;s great. There are plenty of things to do downtown to kill time before. Yo might also check out motels at the I 65 and Southport Rd exit. Another quick/easy drive to downtown
