Parking for Lucas Oil Stadium

I know it is brand new, but does anyone have parking suggestions for Lucas Oil Stadium on September 7? We%26#39;ll be coming and going from the south (Interstate 65). I%26#39;d like to stay out of a garage if possible.

There are about 1500 spots south of the stadium but it is important to know that they are ALL reserved spots so don%26#39;t attempt to park there. The main surface lots for the publics%26#39; use are located on South Street near the intersections of Meridian Street and Pennsylvania Street.

Arrive very early and drive around. The closest public parking available at the stadium will cost you $45. At least that%26#39;s what I%26#39;ve seen.

I second the - ';get here early and drive around';. All metered parking on the streets of downtown are free on weekends (after 6pm on Friday through early Monday morning.) Street parking close to the stadium will be blocked off to help with traffic flow, so don%26#39;t even bother trying to get close to the stadium.

I suggest getting off I-65 at the Market Street Exit (WEST.) If you are willing to walk about 1/2 mile, you can park along the street where ever there is open parking. You%26#39;ll be heading toward downtown. You want to stay on or south of Market St.

There are also some lots by Eli Lilly and the Anthem buildings off of South St. and East St. To get there, again go West on Market and turn left on the second stoplight (East St.) Turn left and the second stoplight is South St. Turn right. Lots will be on left and right. Good luck!

I would try to park like Tina said. I lke to park on New York Street around Capitol. It%26#39;s probably about a 3/4 mile walk to Lucas Oil. New York is one way east and would be easy access back to 65 south. Plan to get there about 4:oo and I%26#39;m pretty sure you%26#39;ll be able to find a free spot on the street. I also heard about the $45.oo lots (last year they wrere $25.00)
