I have booked a room at the Holiday Inn next week so that my kids and my nephews can enjoy the water park. Most of the reviews that I have read are negative. Is it really that bad?
Holiday Inn at the Pyramids
The kids will love the waterpark, it is so much fun for all ages! The rooms at the hotel are just fair, dated but adequate and clean. You%26#39;ll hardly be in the room, between the waterpark and the lobby game and craft area. We didn%26#39;t eat dinner at the hotel, there is a nice family Italian restaurant, Salvatore%26#39;s, down the street on 86th St.

Thank you for the reply. If the kids have fun, it is worth it. I, too, have been to Salvatore%26#39;s... yummy!!!!! You are right, we did not book for the room but for the water park.
I am also looking at this property. How are the rooms? Our dillema is that our party consists of
2 adults who will use the water park
1 12 yr old
1 4 yr old
1 11 month old
2 adults who will not use the water park but will want to be in the area to see the grandchildren.
The hotel tells me that everyone including the 11mth old will need a wristband so we will need 7 wristbands. I thought of the deluxe suite ($254)(sleeps 6 but would be crowded) and then a king ($109) with no water park. I thought that would allow everyone to get a wristband and also spread out. This option would also be less expensive than two roms with water park pkg. However, we come up one wristband short. I am wondering about the possibilities of paying extra for one more wristband since essentially 3 of the party will not be using the water but just in the water area.
Has anyone actually stayed there?
I read of Salvatorres restaurant. I am assuming it is Italian. What price points are we talking about and is it suitable for our party?
I seem to recall a nice restaurant away from the city a bit that was out on a lake or river (near a dam). It had nice outside seating...However, I can%26#39;t recall the name.
It looks as if two of us will be paying for the majority if not the entire hotel bill.
Thanks for any suggestions.
