Chicago to Pittsburgh in mid-August

I%26#39;m taking a few days to travel with my family (two teens) from Chicago to Pittsburgh in mid-August. Travelling across the 80/90 to the 30 South.

Any suggestions of places to go, things to see along this route?

Chicago to Pittsburgh in mid-August

Here are a few suggestions:

Portage, Indiana- Indiana Dunes State Park(Lake Michigan)

Michigan City- Lighthouse Outlet Mall

Shipshewanna, Indiana- Shipshewanna Flea Market (HUGE)

Angola, Indiana - Pokagon State Park- they have a nice inn there and good food. The park is nice too with a beach (won%26#39;t be the same as Lake Michigan)

Fremont, Indiana - they have an outlet mall

Auburn, Indiana - it%26#39;s a little south of Fremont off of 80/90 home of the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Musuem(If you like antique cars they have a auction there every year it%26#39;s a big event)

Sandusky, Ohio - Cedar Point is a big amusement park with lots of roller coasters and a water park. My kids are now adults and still enjoy going there.

Put-in-bay,(Sandusky area) a ferry ride over to the island.
