Hello,
I%26#39;m planning on traveling to So. Bend for a football weekend this year. My husband and I made the trip last year, and we got lucky with a somewhat reasonably priced bed %26amp; breakfast...but the service was awful!
This year I%26#39;d like to get an early jump on our plans so that we can find a nice(ish) hotel for a reasonable rate.
Any locals out there than can share some suggestions? I don%26#39;t want to spend the ridiculous amount the Marriott is asking, but I also would prefer to be IN South Bend rather than Mishawaka.
Please let me know if you guys have any ideas for us to try!
Thanks!
Becca

I don%26#39;t know what bed and breakfast you stayed at, but I have had people stay at the Innisfree-a-Celtic-Bed-and-Breakfast in South Bend. The innkeeper is a nurse at Memorial Hospital where I work and she did a great job. I%26#39;m not sure of their rates, but I think they have a website. Good luck. GO IRISH!!

Hi Becca!
I work at the South Bend/Mishawaka Convention %26amp; Visitors Bureau. You can look at our website for hotel/B%26amp;B contact information at www.exploresouthbend.org. You can also look at www.ndfootballweekends.org for hotel availability. Feel free to look through the websites about other things to do while you are here and I hope something works out for you. If you have any problems, feel free to contact us and we will make sure you are taken care of. Good Luck!

I don%26#39;t know which weekend you are going but, from my experience the last few days, there is no such thing as a reasonable hotel on a ND football weekend.
We are going to the Purdue game the weekend of Sept. 27th and even the Red Roof Inn, which incidentilly was booked, was running $219. We finally found a hotel that had availability in Goshen. It was $189 plus tax so ended up over $200. But, it is a once in a lifetime for us.
