Yes, I am still sane. For any of you considering a great, great time in a relaxed setting, consider this. DD #1 was out of town and I gave DD #2 the choice of any vacation spot with Mommy. She chose this place, as we had been here a few years prior with combinations of family and friends. I let my 13 yr old invite 3 friends. We rented the Liberty Cabin through www.moondancevacationhomes.com
We rented the Heartstone Cabin last time....I liked it a bit better, but I heard no complaints. The cabin had ping pong, billiards, a hot tub, a huge deck w/charcoal grill and DVD players and Tvs in every room. The girls had a blast here! Each day, deer would graze in the side yard and we even saw a small red fox walking through the property. We also enjoyed Brown County park for horseback riding and hiking. It%26#39;s just 15 minutes to Bloomington to show them IU and the cute town, as well as 15 min to Columbus and the outlet malls. Maldonado%26#39;s Mexican restaurant had not reopened, but we visited the sister one in Columbus ( ? Del Sol) and had an excellent meal. The restaurant in Nashville will soon bear the same name and is very, very good! We also enjoyed 2 good meals at the Artist%26#39;s Colony Inn in Nashville. I let the girls shop the tiny stores alone several times and enjoyed a bit of wine tasting at Brown Co Winery and Chateau Thomas. They use imported grapes and several varieties are quite good. Also, there are 2 women%26#39;s boutiques in town with lovely clothes. There are also some nice art galleries representing regional artists, not just the tourist stuff. Of course, there are plenty souvenir shops, old time picture places, candy and fudge shops, etc....but they are part of the fun, especially for the tweens. Times to avoid this area are weekends in the fall. Too many crowds and screaming motorcycles. However, if you visit during the week, you%26#39;ll have a much more pleasant experience. Driving on the roads on the outskirts of Nashville, you can visit many antique stores and art galleries.

Lily, I%26#39;ve used both Moondance and Hills of Brown realty for cabin rentals. I%26#39;ve been 100% pleased with both companies!
That%26#39;s great to know. Thank you Linda!
we%26#39;ve had some bad exepriences with Hills o Brown and don%26#39;t use them anymore. We%26#39;ve used these smaller cabin companies and really liked them. www.premier-cabins.com www.adventurewoodlogcabin.com mybrowncountyvacation.com moondance.com
