How far of a walk is it from the Red Roof Inn by 465 to the speedway? I haven%26#39;t been to a race in at least 15 years but remember parking can be horrible! I would rather walk than spend an hour in horrendous traffic and then still parking a mile away. Any suggestions? I grew up in Indianapolis (northside)but haven%26#39;t been back in many moons, I am sure it has changed a lot!

How%26#39;s this for a quick response. It%26#39;s about a two mile walk and probably faster that way. If your at Red Roof say Hi to Marlena(front desk) Tell her Dave sent you. It is also an easy walk over to Union Jack.s just across Crawfordsville Road. The have great pizza and one of the worlds largest privately owned racing helmet collection there. Have fun in Indy!! When are you getting in?

Thanks for the quick reply - we%26#39;ll plan on walking then since 2 miles is pretty short and its easier to stay out of the car. Getting in around noon and plan on hitting Carb day for the Stone Temple Pilots show.
Expect a big crowd tomorrow. Slight chance of isolated showers but thse are supposed to be evening. My guess about 50,000 tomorrow. I%26#39;ll double check the mileage, will be driving it tonight STP goes on about 3:00 I think. If time is a problem to make the track try parking at O';Brien Floor Covering. About a half mile east of the main entrance to the track. From airport take 465 to 10th street. Go east approx three miles past Holt Road to Exeter St. (look for JR%26#39;s used tireson the right) Turn left and go to 16th. See Dave. Parking $5.00
