Race Day Traffic Restrictions

I will be coming in from West of the city and need to park in the North 40 lot. If I arrive in Indy by 5:00 a.m. on race day and need to get to 30th street, is it better to take 465 to 38th street, to Georgetown to 30th, (from what I remember though, they restrict 30th street to one way on race day (west flow only)), so do I need to to 65n to 30th street and come in from that way? Please help, it%26#39;s been 8 years since I%26#39;ve been to the Indy 500 and I am so excited. I wan%26#39;t to make this very easy.

Thanks

Race Day Traffic Restrictions

Not sure how they have 30th restricted. I would try 465 to 38th Street, east to Lafayette Road then south to 30th,then west to North 40. Keep in mind we are on Eastern time here in Indy and the race starts later than it did 8 years ago (used to START at 11 a.m.,now it%26#39;s 12 or maybe 1:00) If you get to 465 and 38th by 5 a.m. you should be fine just about anywhere. Maybe ';DaveInCarmel'; will see this post. He%26#39;s probably more familar with the north side of the track than I, but, don%26#39;t expect him to tell you his secret route. Have fun at INDY. After today weather continues to get better. Sunny and 80 by Sunday!!! Go #91 Buddy Lazier!!!!

Race Day Traffic Restrictions

Thanks for you help, I appreciate it. I just found out that I can take 38th to Georgetown and still be able to turn east on 30th street to get into the North 40. The one-way restriction only applies to 30th street east of the North 40 entrance (only west bound travel permitted). I am so psyched about this weekend. I%26#39;m driving my wife nuts. I feel like a kid anticipating Christmas.

Go Marco!
