boutiques/consignment shops

Am heading to Indy. on Sat. Have been to the various malls. Would like to find some nice upscale consignment shops as well as some stores/boutiques that have reasonable priced clothing accessories. Am hoping to find stores that would carry clothing for fashionable women in their 40%26#39;s. Many boutiques seem to be aimed pretty much for 20 yr. olds and size 2, 4 and 6. Not sure if my dream boutiques exsist but if so, please let me know.

I am a male so I%26#39;m not much help. But I believe that what you may be looking for my be in the Broad Ripple area. Not sure of any names or addresses. Sorry. Lots of good restaurants and bars though to pass some time if you get tired of walking and shopping.

Going to Broad Ripple does sound like good advice. Also I noticed that the ads above this thread have links to consignment shops.

You said you%26#39;ve been to various malls, so I won%26#39;t suggest anything there. These are not boutiques, but they fit into the reasonably priced stores for those over 20 category. I%26#39;ve had a lot of luck (and many compliments) on clothes and accessories that I%26#39;ve gotten at Kohls and Dress Barn, believe it or not. They offer a nice range of sizes too.

I guess the search results don%26#39;t stay up on the link so you have to re-do the search. Just go to www.indy.org and look for shopping on the left side of the page and select ';top picks.'; It will give you a list of interesting neighborhoods that have unique shops. You can click on those for more information about them.

I%26#39;m sorry I couldn%26#39;t be more help. I agree with you that most of the boutiques that I can think of don%26#39;t fit into the category that you want. That doesn%26#39;t mean they don%26#39;t exist.
