Dining in Indy...

Trick Pony,

The Brown Derby was in the 300-block of S. Franklin Road. The food was wonderful %26amp; that was our favorite dining place when the wife %26amp; I were first married. We too enjoyed feeding the ducks that abounded there.

I would agree that the food at many of the dining places in Indy today really suxs. Maybe what we should do sometime is to organize a get-together for TripAdvisor posters %26amp; meet somewhere for a meal %26amp; to put names with actual faces?

Dining in Indy...

Although some of the best restaurants have gone, many new great ones have opened up. I actually think the dining options in Indy as as good or better than they%26#39;ve ever been.

Having said that, I%26#39;d be happy to join in at a TA Forum Social.

Getting back to the dining in Indy sux thing ...

Petersons, Amalfi%26#39;s, Mateo%26#39;s, Elements, Ambrosia, The Scholar%26#39;s Inn, Brugge Brasserie, Scotty%26#39;s Brewhouse, ... are just some of the central Indiana-based restaurants that make for a wide range of quality dining choices across a wide range of budgets. Throw in the major high-end chain restaurants (Sullivan%26#39;s, Merlot%26#39;s, Ruth%26#39;s Chris, Oceanaire, Shula%26#39;s, The Capital Grille, etc.) and you have a hard time NOT making a good dining choice.

Dining in Indy...

I to would also be interested in meeting and trying some dining establishment. I met up at an informal meeting of TA posters in Key West at SWB. One of them went to my high school ( 15 years earlier) and another went to Ball State. It was great. I don%26#39;t know if it is the food that is so bad or the service. I have problems anywhere I try to dine here in town with the service. If it is good I am in a state of shock. Just my opinion.

Hi all,

There is a restaurant on the southeast side of Indy. It used to be a Dog N Suds years ago, similar to Mug N Bun. Now it is an Edwards Drive-In. It is at Southeastern and Emerson.

However, personally, I prefer the WW%26#39;s BBQ place that is on the other corner of the intersection. Not fine dining, by any means, but very delicious food with a home-cooked feel.
