Getting to Castleton from the airport

We%26#39;re traveling from NZ to the Indy 500, arriving by plane and booked into the Best Western Castleton. I%26#39;m trying to find out how to get from the airport to the hotel and the approximate cost. Also can anyone help with information on the best way to get from the hotel to the race track on sunday. We don%26#39;t have a rental car and would prefer not to drive in the chaos (and on the wrong side of the road!) Any help would be appreciated.

Best thing to do for transport to/from the airport would be to book a reservation with a shuttle/limo company. The share a ride would be the least expensive way to go with them. I%26#39;ve used them lots of times. Indy 500 time is extremely busy for them, book them way in advance. Cabs are a lot more expensive than Carey is!

As for getting to the race track, not sure about bus service from that part of the city. I do know that there are city busses that do service to the track and back from a couple of pick up points in the downtown area, problem is, you aren%26#39;t close to the downtown area. maybe someone else can help with how to get to/from the 500 track from where you are staying.

Unfortunately, IndyGo is not doing bus shuttle service to the 500 this year. I agree that Carey is a dependable Limo service. Because of the traffic around the track, if you take a cab or other timed transportation, you might look into having it drop you off somewhere like 38th and Georgetown, and walk the rest of the way.

Thanks everyone for the good advice and information. We will contact Carey to organise transport to hotel and then try and sort out track transportation when we get there. Really appreciate the information.
