Thinking of heading to Indianapolis in September for the Moto Gp. Is it possible to get to the track without hiring a car ? does anyone know of any transport being provided ?
If not is there a hotel close by that you can walk to the track.

I know that for the Indy 500 and the Brickyard 400, they have bus service from the downtown area with many hotels to the speedway and back for about $10-$15 each way. I would think they will probably offer it for the Moto GP also.

They will be providing Metro Bus Service from several locations around the city. Check the Indy Metro web site for details.
There is also a hotel located on the grounds of the track- Brickyard Crossing Inn/Hotel.
If you can find a hotel in downtown I%26#39;m sure it will be easy to get a ride to the track. I expect a crownd in excess of 150,000
The closest to the track would probably be a Motel 6 which is at I 465 and crawfordsville Road. Pretty much all is booked in the city. Would probably have to find something on the suburbs. If that is the case you would need a rent a car
