Train rides to chicago

I%26#39;m moving to SB pretty soon, I%26#39;m trying to get a good idea on transportation. I don%26#39;t have a car of my own, so I%26#39;ll be doing a lot of walking and bus/train riding.

I%26#39;ve been researching a little bit on how long it takes to get between SB and Chicago, and I%26#39;ve come to the conclusion it takes about 1.5 hours, is this about accurate? Also, the latest train back to SB is at 7:15 or so, is that the latest you can get back?

I%26#39;m totally clueless for the most part, so any feedback with links pointing me in the right direction would be appreciated. Thanks!

South Bend is an hour ahead of Chicago, so if you were to take the 6:30am train, that%26#39;s 5:30 chicago time. It%26#39;s actually about 2 1/2 hours one way. On the weekends the last train for South Bend leaves the Millenium Station at 8pm getting into SB at 11:20pm. During the week, yes the 7:15 is the latest.

There are also buses that leave from O%26#39;hare and Midway airports also.....Coach USA is the company.
