Store closest to Univ. of ND

Hi - wondering if anyone from the local SB area can tell me which store is closest to ND, Target, Walmart,

Bed n Bath or Linen%26#39;s %26amp; Things? Our son is going to college there but since we are travelling from the Boston area we would like to order everything online and pick it up at the store when we arrive in August.

Any info you could give me would be appreciated. Thank you!

All those stores are pretty much in the same area. Grape Road and Main Street. Only about 5 minutes from campus. Good luck to your Son.

If you try to look up the address though online, those stores are actually in Mishawaka, the city which shares a common boundary to the east of South Bend. You will want to specifically look up Mishawaka, because the University Park Mall, Target, Walmart, Bed, Bath and Beyond, and countless other stores are in Mishawaka, just 5-10 minutes from the campus, as the previous poster implied. If you bring up South Bend Targets, Walmarts and Bed Bath and Beyond, they will be there also. But those stores are in a new commercial area developing on the South side of South Bend, farther away from the campus.

Good luck to your son and welcome to South Bend and ND! As previously posted, the mall area in Mishawaka will be your best bet although if you want to avoid the crowds there are also Target and Bed Bath and Beyond stores on the south side of South Bend that are nice especially if you do the order and pick-up. My daughter goes to IU in Bloomington and we did the order and pick-up at the Bloomington Bed, Bath, and Beyond and it was great!! By the way, the Linen %26#39;n Things store is going out of business.

Thank you - I just found out about the order and pick up service @ the B%26amp;B so I think that is what we will do. When you used that service did you have to go to one of their stores to order everything or could you do it online?I know they have a service where you can order it online and then have them hold it and shipped for when you need it but I was thinking the Pack n Hold was better so we could just pick it up in South Bend. Thanks!
