Stores open Sunday?

We are traveling through Bloomington on a Sunday in September. What kind of shops and services would be open?

Stores open Sunday?

I%26#39;m sure most everything would be open on a Sunday except liquor stores(no liquor sales on Sunday except for restaurants) and Chicka-fil-a restuarants. Most stores and other restaurants have Sunday hours.

Stores open Sunday?

As long as it isn%26#39;t the Sunday of Labor Day Weekend, then all of the main retail stores are open. Even on Labor Day Weekend, the majority will be open too. Not sure what kind of ';services'; you%26#39;re talking about...cinemas, restaurants, parks are open. But most bars, clubs and liquor stores are closed.

The other responses are pretty much spot on. If you%26#39;re talking Labor Day weekend, then some business will be closed, but there will still probably be a selection open for just about anything you%26#39;d want/need. (And by the way, if you are talking Labor Day Weekend be sure and check out the 4th Street Art Festival.)

While a bunch of retail stores are open, service type places may not be. ';Professional'; services will tend to be closed (plumbers, insurance, accountants, etc), while ';personal'; service often are (barbers, beauty parlors, etc) are more likely to be open (but still spotty). Also, Mom %26amp; Pop style businesses are a little more likely to be closed (compared to national chains).

Liquor stores will be closed and while other beer, wine %26amp; liquor selling business (drug store, grocery stores, etc) will be open, there are no take out Sunday sales. There are a good number of bars/restaurants that have a Sunday liquor permit, so you can get beer, wine or mixed drinks; but no carryout allowed.

About the only other thing is that while you%26#39;ll find just about anything you need open, the hours are usually limited compared to weekdays and/or Saturday (think more 11:00 or noon opening with a 6:00 pm or 8:00 pm close as opposed to open 9:00 to 9:00).

Hope this is helpful and be glad to give more specific information if you want it.
