I used to live in Indianapolis and was always proud of that city...We restored a home in the Old Northside and one in Meridian Kessler...raised my kids there before moving to Southern California for work. I plan on visiting next month after being away for 6 years. As for things to do...what%26#39;s new that I shouldn%26#39;t miss? Indianapolis always just keeps getting better, more cosmopolitan, more culturally significant. Any great new restaurants? Any suggestions would be so appreciated. Thanks everyone Holly

Had Massachusetts Ave been %26#39;reborn%26#39; when you were last in town?
visiting Indy next month
You know, Gabby, Mass Ave was just starting to be developed into something interesting when I left but I never explored it much. That would be fun for me...Do you have any particular recommendations in that area?
A few new or remodeled things are the Indiana State Museum at White River Park just west of the Eiteljorg Museum on Washinton street. The Indianapolis museum of Art has undergone a major remodel and expansion including a fancy new restaurant. I have not been to the museum or the restaurant. The NCAA Hall of Champions also next to the Indiana State museum at White River Park. In my opinion the Broad Ripple area is the closest thing to Laguna Beach area in regards to dining and artists. Hope this helps.
Tuesday...thanks for the updates. I loved IMA and the renovations sound exciting. I had no idea. Went to their website after reading your message. I have to make time for a visit to the museum after reading about their new galleries...specifically the textile arts gallery. That museum is such a world class place. Glad to see they%26#39;re still doing the Friday night socials. It looks like the NCAA Hall of Champions is temporarily closed...fire or something. And yes Broadripple is reminiscent of Laguna Beach in lots of ways...minus the water. I%26#39;m so looking forward to my visit...Thanks so much for your help
