Where to park at the Indy airport??

I%26#39;m driving into the Indy airport to leave the car for a week. We bought a new car and its ding-free. I hate door dings.

The only time we flew out of Indy, we stayed at an airport hotel which allowed a week of parking... found a nice spot were I could hung the curb.

Where is the best place to park for the week? Is there only one long-term lot? Is the short-term better (though more expensive I%26#39;m sure)?

Thanks

Where to park at the Indy airport??

Hi chimiler,

There are 4 long term parking lots at IND. I have been parking in the Economy lot for years and have been lucky not to have any dings. But, dings on cars can happen anywhere.

Here is a link to a map of IND parking: indianapolisairport.com/Maps/interactive_map…

And a link about parking at IND: indianapolisairport.com/Maps/…index.aspx

We have also did the Park and Fly from the Sleep Inn on Rockville Road and I-465. But, there is a great deal of construction at that interchange now.

I hope this helps in your decision. Enjoy your trip!

Where to park at the Indy airport??

I typically park at Indy Park, Ride and Fly - just north of the airport lots on High School Road.

Just returned from an 8 day vacation earlier today and left my car there. I have never had an issue - you pull in, they park the car. I have not noted any dings, but not to say that you would not get one.

We%26#39;ve used The Park, Ride and Fly mentioned above on several occasions. You park then they shuttle you to the terminal in about 5 minutes. When you get back you call them when you land. y the time you get your luggage and get to the curb they are there waitng for you. A Plus on them.

Economy parking is the only way to go at the airport. The shuttle bus is efficient and I really see know difference at all (other than it is about two blocks further from the terminal) in the more expensive lots.

As for not getting dinged- The only way you can ensure that is by taking a limo.

Good Luck

A few of the other posters are correct - Indy Park Ride and Fly is the BEST way to go. I live about 2 hours away from Indy, but fly out of there because it is cheaper than where I currently live. I always park my car there - actually I don%26#39;t park it. All you do is pull into the lot - they unload your bags and whisk your car away. They drop you off right at your airline kiosk. You can even add extra services while you are gone, like a wash and wax, detailing, etc. In the winter they will even start your car everyday to keep the battery charged. Totally hassle-free.

Either last night or the night before, an overheating car sparked off a fire in the Economy lot that totally destroyed about a half dozen cars and others had minor damage.

We like to use the Corporate Connection parking lot. My husband also despises door dings. This one is right next to the airport and you walk up the ramp and you are there (no waiting... and waiting... and waiting... for any type of bus). The lot is never full. If you can%26#39;t snag an end spot and hug the edge, try parking way out near where you come in.

Entrance is just off High School road north of the airport.

Only downside is if the weather is bad, you have to walk up to 50 yards into the airport.
