Downtown Skywalk

I will be staying at the Hilton downtown. From a map I found at indydt.com the skywalk starts in a building right across the street from our hotel, the blocks building.

I%26#39;m tying to find out the hours of operation and how accessible the skywalk is.

I would like to use the skywalk to get the the circle center mall, restaurants and the convention center. Basically, trying to find ways to walk around downtown in February without getting too cold.

Thanks for any help.

Downtown Skywalk

The Blocks building is somewhat of a hodgepodge right now. By the time you could enter the Block%26#39;s building, you would be less than a block from Circle Center. You would enter just past TJ Maxx, take the escalator up a level and then take the hallway past the Embassy Suites. This will take you to the Artsgarden, that connects to Circle Center.

To get to the convention center, continue through the mall, take the skybridge to the World Wonders Parking garage, continue through to the Park Plaza garage then cross into the convention center. The parking garages are not heated - you are protected from the wind, but not the cold.

The skywalk system does let you move around, but it is not like Minneapolis or Toronto. You go out of your way a lot.

This information helps a lot. Thanks!

Do you know if the skywalk is open late, or is it locked up at night? I was thinking it would be open until the mall closed.

Thanks again.

Stayed at the hilton last year at this time. We just walked across the street to TJ Maxx and entered here. It is quite a trek to the convention center, but so worth it to be inside! I am not sure on the times that you can utilize the skywalk, but I would think definitely until 9pm or so when the mall and so forth starts to shut down.

Should be open until 9 when the mall closes. Only exception could be if an event is taking place in the Artsgarden.

We have very few really cold days in Indy (today happens to be one of them). Of course, that depends on your definition of cold I guess.
