Suggestions for hotel w/ conference

We are looking for a hotel with a large conference area for a Chicago company%26#39;s training weekend and I need some suggestions.

It needs to be a place where families and singles can have fun. It also needs to have a large conference room for our training %26amp; a Banquet facilities for our group banquet.

I%26#39;m not looking for an inexpensive place - it needs to be a first class type of place.

Suggestions for hotel w/ conference

Try looking at Indy.org for some ideas on downtown hotels. Maybe some e mails and phone calls wouldn%26#39;t be a bad idea. There are many to chose from. they will all be glad for your business. Since I live here I don%26#39;t stay in hotels much.

Suggestions for hotel w/ conference

I%26#39;m not sure what you mean by large, but I%26#39;m certain the Westin will fill the bill in terms of conference area. The Westin is only two blocks from the White River State Park complex and also from the Circle Center Mall. There is a Shula%26#39;s Steakhouse in the hotel, and the banquet facilities are good (it%26#39;s a convention hotel).

The Conrad is the nicest hotel in the city, and has meeting rooms. The Hilton Downtown has very large conference areas, and is about 2 blocks north of the Conrad (just one block north of the Circle), and is a very nice hotel. There are excellent restaurants near to all of these hotels, and plenty of bars/pubs - the Mass Avenue scene is a short cab ride away.

On the north side, the Sheraton at Keystone @ The Crossing has very nice conference facilities and is integrated with the Fashion Mall - Indy%26#39;s nicest mall. There are also excellent restaurants nearby (several within walking distance - although these are chain restaurants - Sullivans Steakhouse, and several mid-level places - P.F. Changs, Cheesecake Factory, Maggianos, etc.; there are a number of EXCELLENT non-chain restaurants within a 15 minute cab ride, including: Peterson%26#39;s, The Glass Chimney, and Amalfi%26#39;s). There is an indoor carting facility about 5 minutes to the north of the Sheraton that is a great place for corporate fun %26amp; mischief - and there are plenty of bars nearby as well (younger folks may prefer the bars and music joints of Broad Ripple, about a 15 minute drive to the southwest of the Sheraton).

Good luck.

There is a very nice Marriott downtown Indy as well as a good one at Keystone at the Crossing. For downtown, the Marriott is nicer than the Westin. At Keystone at the Crossing, the Marriott is the nicest hotel there.

Thank you for all the great ideas. I%26#39;ll start checking them.

By Large, I mean we%26#39;ll need roughly 175 rooms, with approx. 175 employees for training and 300 people (employees %26amp; spouses) for dinners. In addition, we%26#39;ll need a couple smaller class rooms (25-30 people) for the management training %26amp; spouses events. We%26#39;re a pretty big group. :)
