If you%26#39;re traveling over the holidays, I have a feeling that you won%26#39;t have trouble having at least 3 people on the shuttle! (Get one as early in the day as you can to give you a cushion.)

If you meet the minimum age requirements and have a driver%26#39;s license, you might want to look into renting a car. Some companies let you rent it in one location and drop it off in another. I like Enterprise, but I%26#39;ve never done a one-way drop off with them, so I can%26#39;t say whether or not they offer that.

If you happen to be a Ball State student, you might want to see if they have ride boards. (Way back in the 90%26#39;s, colleges had actual bulletin boards with maps listing who was going where and if you were willing to pitch in gas money you could share a ride. Assuming something like that exists today, it%26#39;s probably online somewhere.)

If you have any friends with cars, offer to pay for gas roundtrip for them and pay for a nice dinner if they%26#39;ll take you to the airport. If you schedule it right, they might be able to take advantage of some Indy attractions (after you leave) in the process.

Good luck!

Here%26#39;s a link to an earlier thread on this topic that hopefully will help.

isn%26#39;t there a bus? no way is good for me except for the 110$ service which i can%26#39;t afford

A shuttle bus ride is $110?! With three other people? That%26#39;s terrible!

So you%26#39;re not able to rent a car? I%26#39;m so sorry about that since it%26#39;s only $40.

I wish I could say there%26#39;s a bus that goes from Muncie to the Indianapolis airport, but I%26#39;ve never heard of one. If I do, I will let you know.

Good luck!!!

This link provides transportation information from Muncie to the Indianapolis airport. Obviously the BSU shuttle is just for BSU students, but the rest of the information is very helpful.

If I%26#39;m not mistaken, it looks like at least some of the shuttle buses listed on the link have you pay the whole $100+ amount only if there is no one else in the shuttle with you. If there%26#39;s one other person, you%26#39;d pay half. If there are three other people, you%26#39;d pay a quarter of that. Since there are a few different shuttle companies, check the links that I provided and shop around for the best price. Some look like they might have a lower minimun number of people, too, in case you%26#39;re worried about that. Even if only one other person is on the shuttle, $50 is still better than $100!

Good luck!

yea only i have to be sure about this! i can%26#39;t be up to other people! the only option is bus or taking the 110$ option. anyway are you sure there is no bus?

I%26#39;m 99.9% sure there is no bus from Muncie. MITS, the local transportation system is only for the general Muncie area. The nearest Greyhound bus station is in Anderson.

You%26#39;d have to take a cab to Anderson, then wait for the bus from Anderson to Indianapolis--which is only once a day at 7:10pm arriving at 8:20pm (assuming it%26#39;s on time). Then you%26#39;d have to take a cab from the Indianapolis Greyhound station to the airport.

The Ball State link I posted earlier lists approximate costs for that, and in my opinion, it%26#39;s quite expensive for how inconvenient it is. I think the cost of the bus is about $15, but the cab rides add at least $40 to that.

If for some reason that would work with your flight times, here%26#39;s the link to Greyhound.
