Indy post New Year's brunch/lunch

My boyfriend %26amp; I are going to be in Indy for a New Year%26#39;s concert with his brother. Even though he%26#39;s lived there for a little while he%26#39;s not much of a guide for good eats. Where is a good (preferably non chain) cafe or restaurant for most likely hung over people? In other words, please no screaming kids...

Indy post New Year's brunch/lunch

Downtown, there are Palomino (Circle Center Mall) and The Capital Grill (The Conrad) - chains, but very nice chains with excellent food. On the non-chain side of things, there%26#39;s Harry %26amp; Izzy%26#39;s - at the south end of the Circle Center Mall complex %26amp; the sister restaurant to the historic St. Elmo%26#39;s Steakhouse. Then there%26#39;s a plethora of mid to upper range chain restaurants.

Pucks, at the Indianapolis Museum of Art, has a great brunch every Sunday - and may offer one on New Years Day - worth checking out anyway - - easily the best brunch I%26#39;ve experienced in town.

If you%26#39;re NOT going to be downtown, let us know where you WILL be staying and we can help you with that area.
